Integration with CareFusion NOX-T3 portable sleep monitor enables Somnoware users to more easily score, review, report, and export sleep study data.

Somnoware, a leading provider of digital health technology, announces the integration of the CareFusion NOX-T3 portable sleep monitor with its Somnoware Sleep Device Interface (SDI). Somnoware SDI is a sleep device integration plugin that provides a consistent, browser-based interface for diagnostic device operations. With this platform, initializing devices and importing studies are just one-click operations.

This plugin streamlines the user experience when conducting home sleep studies and allows for automated home sleep testing (HST) device inventory management. After a sleep study is completed, the plugin automatically uploads study data to the Somnoware cloud and the device becomes available for the next patient. The study import operation is automatic without requiring any user input or barcode scanning, minimizing potential typing and device assignment errors. When a report is ready for interpretation, the physician receives an email notification.

By having access to the Somnoware platform, sleep center staff can easily schedule in-lab and home tests across various facilities, as well as quickly configure sleep devices and track inventory. Physicians also have easy access to test results and CPAP adherence data via the web browser. They can read the diagnosis and titration reports, and implement strategies for increasing therapy adherence. The overall use of this platform results in a significant reduction in interpretation times and enables better patient care.

“We are very excited about the integration of CareFusion NOX-T3 with Somnoware. This integration significantly augments the Noxturnal user experience by delivering automation to increase sleep center efficiency and lower error rates,” according to Jinesh Jain, Director of Clinical Technology at Somnoware.
