For many sleep labs, IDNs, and sleep physicians, the demands of delivering timely, high-quality diagnostic care continue to grow—while time and resources remain limited. That’s why Somnoware is excited to introduce four powerful new features designed to help care teams work more efficiently and enhance patient outcomes across the sleep diagnostic journey.

Here’s what’s new:

  1. Switch Between 3% and 4% Desaturation Thresholds

Not every physician, and not every payer, follow the same diagnostic criteria for AHI scoring. With Somnoware, you can now seamlessly toggle between 3% and 4% desaturation thresholds when interpreting sleep studies.

Whether you’re navigating insurance requirements or tailoring diagnostics to specific patient needs, this feature helps ensure both clinical accuracy and reimbursement readiness. It’s a step forward in promoting personalized care and operational flexibility.

  1. Share Interpretation Templates Across Your Team

Creating interpretation templates from scratch for every physician is a time sink. With Somnoware’s new template sharing functionality, you can easily copy templates across users within your organization.

This feature not only saves time but also standardizes reporting across your team, helping to reduce errors and improving the consistency of patient care.

Please note: when a template is shared, it will overwrite any existing customizations by the receiving physician.

  1. View DME Prescriptions in One Click

Gone are the days of toggling between systems to retrieve DME orders. With Somnoware’s latest update, you can view DME prescriptions directly from the Appointment & Orders tab within a patient’s profile.

This simplifies coordination with DME providers and helps ensure that patients receive the therapy they need—without delays or workflow disruptions.

  1. Automate “No-Show” Patient Re-Additions to the Waitlist

Manually tracking and rescheduling missed appointments can drain valuable staff time. Somnoware now offers an automated “no-show” feature that tags missed appointments and adds patients back to your scheduling queue.

This update enhances study completion rates and keeps your lab operating at peak efficiency. Note: If your organization uses an EMR interface, scheduling should continue to occur within that system.

Designed to Fit the Way You Work

These new features reflect Somnoware’s ongoing commitment to solving the biggest challenges faced by diagnostic care teams: fragmented systems, manual tasks, and lack of visibility. By centralizing tools and automating routine workflows, we help sleep programs save time, improve accuracy, and deliver better patient experiences—all from a single, cloud-based platform.
